Why Study Information Technology at NJIT?

Information Technology (IT), the convergence of computer and network technology, is a highly transformative discipline. It touches nearly all aspects of our lives: the way we work, the way we learn, the way we communicate, the way we socialize, the way we entertain ourselves. Where would we be without it? These days, success in any occupational field, be it law, medicine, business, education, entertainment, finance, etc., requires a command of IT. For certain, IT is and will remain the foundation of the global economy for years to come. The bureau of labor statistics has consistently ranked the IT profession as one of the fastest growing professions. IT offers fascinating, mission-critical, high-paying jobs with the potential for multiple career paths.

NJIT is ranked by the Princeton Review as one of America’s “most connected colleges.” The university has also been designated a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education by the National Security Agency.
