The objectives of the Information Technology program are to prepare the student so that three to five years after completing the program, the graduate will:
Be working as a computing professional, utilizing the knowledge acquired in the BS in Information Technology program.
Be engaged in the computing profession and be utilizing professional skills to make a positive impact on society.
Have participated in further professional development, employing the learning skills taught in the Information Technology program.

Analyze a complex computing problem and to apply principles of computing and other relevant disciplines to identify solutions.
Design, implement, and evaluate a computer-based solution to meet a given set of computing requirements in the context of the program's discipline.

Recognize professional responsibilities and make informed judgments in computing practice based on legal and ethical principles.
